Tatyana Kim has embraced four different cultures. She lives and works in USA, she was born in Kazakhstan from Korean descent yet her first language is Russian. She received her Master’s degree in filmmaking at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Prior to her coming to the USA for graduate studies in filmmaking, she worked as a copywriter in international advertising agency Young&Rubicam (Y&R), where she created numerous award winning 360 degree ad campaigns for many international clients (Marlboro, L&M, Danone, Carlsberg, LG). She received US student ADDY award for her commercial for Tequila Avion, her short film Tragiometry, a 19th century crime story, was part of Cannes Short Film Corner 2016, as well as she received Best Director Award from TMFF, Scotland.
In 2018 Tatyana director a monoplay “OTOSOTR” that won “Innovative Awards” at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and “Best Experimental” at UnitedSolo in New York City.
In 2016 Tatyana won “Best Video-Audio Experience” in first Microsoft Hololens Hackathon – “Holopop” team.In 2016 she became a finalist at ABC-Disney Diversity program, CDDP program and DGA student Awards.
